Reporting to the Vice-President, Students, with a dotted line to the Provost and Vice-President, Academic UBCV, the Associate Vice-President (AVP), Career Services is accountable for the strategic leadership of Career Services and associated shows at the UBC Vancouver school in positioning with the UBC Student Strategic Plan goals, functions, and concerns. As a member of the Vice-President Students’ (VPS) Senior Leadership Team, the AVP Career Services contributes to the development and execution of VPS portfolio-wide strategic top priorities.
The AVP Career Services leads and develops ingenious career services setting to meet the developing needs and variety of UBC’s trainee population, through reliable cooperation, evidence-based research study, practices and programs, ingenious innovation, and strategic collaborations. In addition, this role will offer leadership in the advancement and promoting of collaborative, tactical, responsive, and innovative collaborations across UBC portfolios and with key external partners including industry and government.
Showing leadership in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion, this function will ensure the Career Services system tactical annual operating objectives are aligned with broader University and portfolio-wide objectives and plans including, however not restricted to, the Indigenous Strategic Plan (ISP), the Anti-Racism and Inclusive Excellence (ARIE)report and the Addition Action Plan (IAP).

The UBC Vancouver-Point Grey campus is located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded areas of the xʷmeekʷey̓ em (Musqueam) people. The UBC Okanagan
