Applied Commerce and Management Education

D U T I E S
Reporting to the Chair of Applied Commerce and Management Education, the Instructor will be
responsible to teach Accounting and related courses, which may consist of, however are not restricted to,
Accounting Fundamentals, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate
Accounting, Management Information Systems, Cost Accounting, Accounting Applications, Tax
Fundamentals, and Mathematics courses delivered online and/or in-class at the Notre Dame
Campus and/or The Exchange District Campus. Responsibilities will include the preparation naturally
products and assessments, direction of trainees and evaluation naturally products. Tasks
connected to advising include: curriculum advancement and upkeep, preparing course
describes, preserving student records, trainee examination, helping in college activities consisting of
student orientation, graduation, and pertinent committees.

R E Q U I R E D Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S

  • Post-secondary education in accounting; a comparable combination of education and
experience might be considered

  • Professional Accounting classification (CPA)
  • Significant and progressive experience in accounting
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with accounting software application applications
  • Extensive experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exemplary written interaction abilities
  • Exemplary spoken communication abilities
  • Excellent discussion abilities
  • Demonstrated management skills
  • Ability to work remotely and on school in Winnipeg

A S E T S

  • Experience advising at a post-secondary organization
  • Experienced with online course advancement/ shipment and alternative teaching approach
  • Extensive understanding and experience with Canadian individual and business tax preparation
C O N D I T I O N S O F E M P L O Y M E N T

  • Applicants need to be lawfully entitled to work in Canada
  • This position might be needed to work evenings and/or weekends
  • Instructors are needed to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education
program or have formerly finished the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)

  • This position may be required to work throughout the scholastic year including the summer season
months.

  • May be required to operate at numerous RRC campuses
