The University of Lethbridge is seeking a strategic visionary leader for among Canada’s top-ranked universities and leading research study organizations. Mandated by, and responsible to the Board of Governors, the President & & Vice-Chancellor( the President) has general supervision over, and direction of, the operation of the University of Lethbridge. The President makes sure that University goals are achieved and the University’s quality and future guaranteed. The President is responsible for performing all the tasks required in the capacity as President & & Vice‐Chancellor with the General Faculties Council, the Senate, The University of Lethbridge Faculty Association, other worker groups and the public, along with working carefully with the Board.

The President’s primary responsibility is to lead the University in an ethical, transparent, fair, diverse, inclusive, and responsible way to attain long term sustainability through continued developments in shows, cooperations, and research directions. This person is an entrepreneurial, ingenious, and innovative issue solver with a performance history of success effecting modification by using determined and thoughtful risk-based management techniques. This leader is a genuine, and authentic relationship builder who will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders to promote for and safeguard the interests of the University and protect and advance the worths of liberal education. As an adapter and genuine relationship home builder, the President will improve the University by fostering intra and inter-institutional and community partnerships, and deal with Indigenous neighborhoods to recognize and support opportunities for Indigenous engagement. The President will also include equity, variety and inclusion concepts into the University’s overarching method.

The effective candidate might have a PhD or professional academic degree, or comparable terminal degree in their discipline, would be seen as a recognized leader in their field, and have qualifications commensurate with a consultation with tenure at the rank of Full Professor.
