The Program Co-ordinator will lead on developing culturally and demographically relevant mental health education to racialize girls ages 15-18 years old. This includes cultivating a safe and engaging space for girls from an anti-oppressive lens, with a youth centered approach. We are looking for a competent Program Coordinator to undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks for our Mental Health and Wellness program – EmbraceHer. You will help in planning and organizing program activates, coordinate with community partners as well as lead on program specific operational duties.

To be an excellent program coordinator, you must be familiar working in diverse environments, as the program is catered to racialize girls. This includes having knowledge of culturally sensitive and specific community supports, resources, and services available throughout the City of Toronto and GTA. In this role, you will also need to be organized detail-oriented, creative, and have experience working with youth. We are looking for someone comfortable developing programs that will be both engaging and impactful for teen girls. This also includes having a strong knowledge and understanding of online social media and learning platforms that can be used to enhance programming. Experience in mental health training or lived-in experience is an asset. If you have strong skills in program development we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordination of participant registration

Coordination with community partners and stakeholders

Coordination of mentors, facilitators and counsellors

Attendance at weekly workshops/learning sessions

Responsible for attendance taking at weekly workshops/learning sessions

Responsible for communications with participants (testimonials, etc.)

Coordinate, plan and prepare program schedules, events, attendance sheets, records and all required logistics and documentation

Identify and analyze gaps in current programming through participant feedback and evaluations

Implement programming improvements as recommended

Prepare and maintain program budgets

Coordinate program specific events (both in-person and online)
